Freedom Is the Only Thing
That Actually Matters.

Everything else — the business, the money, the success — is just the path to get there.

I Grew Up an Athlete.
School Was Not My Thing.

I grew up in Richmond, BC. Sport was everything to me — it was where I felt capable, confident, alive. Academics felt like someone else's world. I genuinely believed I wasn't intelligent. Not in a self-pitying way — I just accepted it as fact. I was the athlete, not the student.

That belief followed me into adulthood. It shaped every decision I made about what I was and wasn't capable of. And it was completely wrong.

University was where everything changed. I discovered finance — and for the first time in my life, I was genuinely passionate about what I was learning. Something clicked. I stopped believing the story I'd been telling myself and started doing the work.

I graduated with straight A's. Top of my class in mathematics. The kid who thought he wasn't smart enough.

"The only thing standing between you and what you're capable of is the story you believe about yourself."

I Started a Painting Company
to Pay for School.

While studying finance, I needed money. So I started painting houses. Simple as that. What I didn't expect was that I'd fall in love with building a business — the systems, the people, the problem-solving.

That painting company became ColourCraft — an international painting franchise that has now done over $8,000,000 in revenue. Built from scratch. No investors. No inheritance. Just relentless work and a belief that if I could figure out finance, I could figure out anything.

The franchise gave me something more valuable than money — it gave me proof. Proof that the limitations I believed about myself were invented. That the ceiling I thought existed was a story, not a fact.

And it gave me capital. Which I immediately put to work.

I Realized Business Income
Wasn't Enough on Its Own.

I was all in on business. Working hard, growing the franchise, making good money. But I kept watching it flow in and flow out. I had a finance degree — I knew what compounding looked like. I knew that trading time for money, no matter how much money, had a ceiling.

In 2012 I bought my first cash flow property. Then another. Then another. I learned everything myself — how to find deals, how to structure them, how to manage tenants, how to force appreciation. I now have 7 units under personal management and have been doing this for over a decade.

Real estate gave me something that business income alone never could — assets that work while I sleep. That's the difference between being rich and being free.

My Fiancée Left Me.
I Had Never Known Pain Like That.

I want to be clear — I am a happy person. I grew up loved, I had good friends, I genuinely enjoyed my life. Before this, I had never really known hardship. I didn't have a difficult childhood to overcome. I was just a happy kid who played sport and figured things out as he went.

Which is exactly why it hit so hard. I had built everything I thought I was supposed to build — a business, a future, a life with someone I loved. And then she was gone. And I had no framework for what I was feeling. No reference point. I was 28 years old and the floor had dropped out for the first time.

I remember sitting with the emptiness and realising that none of what I had built could touch it. The money didn't help. The business didn't help. I was lost in a way I had never experienced before — and that lostness became the most important teacher of my life.

That pain cracked me open. And in the crack, something found its way in. I found plant medicine. I found ceremony. I sat in circles with people who were also searching, and I started to feel something I had never felt before — that the pain itself was pointing me somewhere sacred.

That journey — the hardship, the discovery, and the beauty I found on the other side — is what eventually became Sacred Ways. It wasn't a business idea. It was a calling born from the most broken version of me. And I believe it's the most important work I do.

I Became a Millionaire.
I Felt Nothing Different.

That was one of the most important moments of my life. Not because of what it gave me — but because of what it showed me. I had chased a number. I hit the number. And the feeling I expected never came.

Money is real. Financial freedom is real. I'm not here to tell you it doesn't matter — it absolutely does. But it is a vehicle, not a destination. The man who arrives at the destination and still feels empty has to ask a harder question.

"True freedom isn't something you earn. It's something you realize."

I Live in Squamish.
I Rock Climb. I Run Companies.
I Lead People Home.

Today my life is built around the things that actually matter to me. I wake up in one of the most beautiful places on earth. I climb. I move my body. I run ColourCraft, manage my real estate portfolio, and coach entrepreneurs who are exactly where I was — successful on paper, searching for something more.

I lead Sacred Ways retreats — plant medicine ceremonies and pilgrimages for people who are ready to do the real work. Not the business work. The inner work. The kind that changes who you are at the root.

Everything I do is connected by one thread: Freedom. Financial freedom through real estate and business. Personal freedom through inner work and purpose. Spiritual freedom through ceremony and contemplation.

I'm not here to sell you a lifestyle. I'm here to show you what's possible — because I was the kid who didn't think he was smart enough, and I found out the hard way that the only real limits are the ones we carry inside.

About Brad Samuels

The Philosophy

Freedom Is the Core

Not the freedom you buy. The freedom you find when you stop needing to buy it. Everything I build — businesses, investments, retreats — is designed to create more of it.

The Story Is the Proof

I don't teach theory. I teach what I've lived. The limiting beliefs I broke through, the deals I've done, the breakdowns that became breakthroughs — that's the curriculum.

Business Is a Spiritual Practice

Building something real in the world forces you to grow. Every challenge in business is a mirror. The entrepreneur who does the inner work becomes unstoppable.

Wealth Is a Vehicle, Not a Destination

I became a millionaire at 36 and felt nothing different. That moment was one of the most important of my life. Money is a tool for freedom — nothing more, nothing less.

You Are More Than You Think

I was the kid who thought he wasn't smart. I was wrong. Most people are wrong about themselves in exactly the same way. That's what I'm here to help you see.

You Can Do This Too.

I'm not special. I didn't have advantages. I had a belief that I wasn't enough — and I broke through it. Everything I've built since then has come from that one shift. If you're an entrepreneur who wants to build real wealth, find your purpose, and actually feel free — this is the work. And I'm here to walk it with you.
